I had a feeling this would happen... school got busy again and I post less frequently :) With full-time in my classroom finally coming on Monday, there's no telling when I will post next! Hahahaha...
Well, it IS Good Friday so you should all be thinking about Christ's incredible sacrifice for us on the cross. I know it is so easy sometimes to get swept up in the bustle--I'll admit that after sleeping late on this most blessed rest from school, I totally forgot what the occassion was. But this Easter season, I know my thinking has altered just a little bit... I used to always think about how Christ's death on the cross was for US, and all He went through so we could be saved and be with God in heaven.
But I've realized that Christ's death on the cross was ALL about GOD'S glory first and foremost. Our salvation was a result of His death. His death proved that God was just and holy. His death secured for us the foundation upon which we trust all God says and promises and does, because if He wasn't true to Himself and didn't deal with our sin, we couldn't really take Him at His word for everything else. WOW! I am so glad Jesus died to show how just and perfect and brilliantly holy God is.
And I'm sure thankful I am saved as a result :)
